Biophysics, Spectroscopy and Modeling

Presentation
Our team focuses on biologically active peptides, whose activities are linked to their interactions with protein partners (ligand peptides) or with cell membranes (CPP, AMP, amyloid). Beyond the peptides themselves, our studies therefore require the ability to manipulate and characterize the proteins of interest and cell membranes (or membrane models). To achieve this, we employ a range of biophysical and spectroscopic techniques (solid and liquid NMR, CD, ATR-IR, single-molecule conductance, fluorescence, optical microscopy, AFM, confocal microscopy, expansion microscopy). We also employ computational approaches (molecular dynamics, augmented sampling methods, Markov State Model) which are used in close association with our experimental observations.
